I’m sure you’ve heard about the e-piracy problem by now. The Story Siren(link to post) did a post on this last week, and many authors have talked about it. I’m not going to say too much but everyone should know that it’s WRONG. I just don’t understand how anyone could see a good side to it. An author sat down and wrote a book, most of the time it takes them YEARS to finish. Then you go and steal they’re work.
If you can’t afford to go out and buy every book you want to read, that’s okay! Just go to your local library, and if they don't have the book you want to read then REQUEST IT! The librarians there want to help you, they love to read and see people reading. I’ve requested so many books at my local library. You can also borrowE-BOOKS from many libraries now. So there is no excuse to steal someone’s hard work.
Yes, I know that there are many buttons popping up all over blogs but I still made my own. I love to make things like this. I know it’s not that they're not that good but I had so much fun making them. If you like one of the buttons below you can use the link to post them on your blog or website.
This is an issue that everyone should help to stop. I bet if all the book blogs and authors got together we could really make a difference.

I finished You Wish a couple days ago and I'm writing up my review now. I really enjoyed it and Rippled sounds very different. It also sounds REALLY good! I can't wait to read this one. :)
I also have a four day weekend right now, and then my school days will be normal. So posts should start being consistent again.
Journey To The Past: When most people go to the bookstore or library they look at the new releases, but what about all those other books? They deserve some love too. So once a week I write about a slightly older book.

Thoughts: I don’t think I’ve ever had as much fun reading a book, as I did with this one. As I read I became attached to the characters and the plot, but the best part? This wasn’t just a book it’s a mystery journal. I know this is a complete work of fiction and Cathy doesn’t actually exist but I felt like it was someone’s personal book.
On almost every page you can find doodles, and sketches of characters that Cathy drew. Under the front flap (for hard covers) is a pocket filled with pictures, notes, napkins with writing, and so much more. The phone number, websites, and emails you find actually work. I dare you to call the one in the title!
I loved Cathy’s voice in her journal, she felt so real. I could relate to her very easily. The mystery will have you wondering and guessing the whole time. I read the whole book in one day. Most of the time I was sitting on the floor with the ‘evidence’ around me. Some parts I figured out (but not without putting a lot of thought into it) and some took me completely by surprise.
If you haven’t read this book yet I strongly suggest you do. Then when you’re done there are two more books in the series. I also just found out that there is an I-pod/I-phone app where you can read the book and see all the doodles and 'evidence' come to life. And if you have already read this book leave a comment below! Hey everyone! I know I didn't post to much this week, and I'm sorry about that. I just started school again (Sophomore yay!) So I was stressed out all week, hopefully I'll get into a good school, homework, band, and reading schedule sometime soon.
This week I decided to make a video (not a vlog). I didn't get to much but it was enough to make a video. I miss making these, hopefully I can get a good video editing system soon so they can be more fun.

They just put a discount book store at the outlets really close to my house! I'm really excited because this is the first book store in my town! They don't sell any of the new releases though, so I'll still have to drive 30 minutes to BN or Borders.

Review: I’m a huge fan of Cate Tiernan so I’ve been looking forward to Immortal Beloved for awhile now. I was so excited to be able to read it early. The book was definitely different then I thought it was going to be, the cover and summary are slightly misleading. The story was darker then it showed, but after reading the Sweep series by Cate Tiernan I should have expected that.
At times the story moved slowly and not too much happened, but I loved every second. I never got bored even at the slower parts probably because there was so much suspense. You know Nastasya has a secret and that someone is out to get her. It kept me attached to the story and I only put the book down to eat and sleep.
Nastasya’s relationship with Reyn was so intoxicating. The secret behind Reyn plays a big part in the story so I won’t say much. Nastasya herself was an interesting character. I liked her throughout the whole book, and I loved her voice. She was sarcastic and kept me laughing. It added some relief from the suspense. Throughout the story there was flashbacks, I really enjoyed reading about Nastasya during different times. Seeing how she changed and how she hasn’t. They also answered many of the questions that you have about her past.
I would recommend Immortal Beloved to anyone (13+) that loves paranormal mysteries and romance. You will get sucked into the storyline, and keep flipping the pages until you finish. I can’t wait for the next two books in the trilogy; I really want to know what happens next to Nasty and Reyn.
