So once a week, either on Friday or Saturday I’m going to be posting A Journey To The Past! What is this? Well when most people go to the bookstore or library they look at the new releases, but what about all those other books. They deserve some love too. So once a week I’m going to write about a book that came out at least three years ago.
I’m so excited to be doing this and I’ve already have a list of books that should last me about four months.
If you have any suggestions I’d be happy to check them out! Just email me at withabook@gmail.com or just comment below.
And the first Journey To the Past -drum roll please-
By Marianne Curley
Publication Date- March 2002
Summary- Jarrod Thornton is mesmerizing,
but Kate Warren doesn't know why.
The moment the new guy walks into the room, Kate senses something strange and intense about him. Something supernatural. Her instincts are proven correct a few minutes later when, bullied by his classmates, Jarrod unknowingly conjures up a freak thunderstorm inside their classroom.
Jarrod doesn't believe in the paranormal. When Kate tries to convince him that he has extraordinary powers that need to be harnessed, he only puts up with her "hocus pocus" notions because he finds her captivating. However, the dangerous, uncontrolled strengthening of his gift finally convinces Jarrod that he must take Kate's theories seriously. Together, they embark on a remarkable journey — one which will unravel the mystery that has haunted Jarrod's family for generations and pit the teens against immense forces in a battle to undo the past and reshape the future.
Review- THIS BOOK IS AMAZING! Period. That’s all there is too it.
I don’t own Old Magic (I wished I did), but I still check it out from the library ALL the time. I’m addicted to the characters and the story line. This book has everything I love. There’s magic, which I’ve been obsessed with for as long as I can remember. I love time period and present day books, and since the characters time travel into the past it has the best of both worlds. Then, obviously, romance but sadly there wasn’t too much of. Yet you know Jarrod and Kate are meant for each other.
So if you haven’t read this book yet, hurry and get it. They also have just republished it in December so it should be easy to find in most book stores. Then there's always your local library.

Has anyone read this book yet and did you love it as much as I did?
hey from the Saturday Network! I know what you mean, sometimes you go to the library and see a book you read years ago, and love it... then you get it and reread it :) This happens to me all the time as well! I'll definitely have to check this one out, it looks really good.
