15 Day Book Blogger Challenge!

Day 1: Make 15 book related confessions

1. If I’m bored while reading a book I’ll skim read until I get to an interesting part.
2. I love fantasy novels
3. I always watch a movie before I read the book.
4. I like to drink tea while I read
5. I can tell if it’s a really good book if I completely forget about the tea
6. I’ve never really cried while reading a book. They can make me sad or tear up but rarely a book will actually make me cry.
7. I can’t sit still while reading. I have to move around every few minutes. Such as moving to the other side of the couch or from sitting up to laying down while I read.
8. I’m a sucker for a colorful book cover.
9. I hate covers with people on them.
10. I own about 200 books that I haven’t read.
11. I feel really bad that I haven’t been blogging the past 6 months. (I guess that’s more of a blog confession)
12. I only read the Harry Potter novels last year.
13. I love to write in books as I read.
14. I could care less if they changed the look in the series half way through as long as the books following the first novel are still as good as the first.
15. I usually forget to keep up with a series unless if was mind blowing like Divergent, Delirium and City of Bones.

New Adult Book Sampler

If you read my review of Wait For You yesterday then you know I found it on a New Adult book sampler. I thought I should share that sampler with you.

Summary from BN: Presenting Between the Covers, a free eBook sampler from the hottest New Adult books by the most popular authors in this emerging genre. This free eBook sampler is a curated volume of excerpts from new and upcoming titles from New York Times and USA Today bestselling authors including Wait for You by J. Lynn (Jennifer L. Armentrout); three books by Cora Carmack: Losing It, Faking It and Finding It; Dark Heroine by Abigail Gibbs; Foreplay by Sophie Jordan; three books by Molly McAdams: Taking ChancesFrom Ashes and Forgiving Lies; and The Registry by Shannon Stoker.

This sampler can be found on bn.com and amazon.com for free! I loved this because it gives you the first few chapters of these new novels so you can decide if you want to buy them. So far I've read the samplers for J.Lnn, Cara Carmack and Jay Crownover. All of them have been great and now I have a list of books to read!

I've already read J. Lynn's novel and the first novel by Cara Carmack (review up soon). I have yet to be disappointed. I read love the New Adult genre because they are about characters that are my age. If you have any to suggest let me know! I would love to read some more New Adult novels. :)

Review: Wait For You by J. Lynn

Wait for You (Wait for You, #1)Wait for You
By: J. Lynn

Summary: Some things are worth waiting for…

Traveling thousands of miles from home to enter college is the only way nineteen-year-old Avery Morgansten can escape what happened at the Halloween party five years ago—an event that forever changed her life. All she needs to do is make it to her classes on time, make sure the bracelet on her left wrist stays in place, not draw any attention to herself, and maybe—please God—make a few friends, because surely that would be a nice change of pace. The one thing she didn’t need and never planned on was capturing the attention of the one guy who could shatter the precarious future she’s building for herself.

Some things are worth experiencing…

Review: It's been such a long time since a book has kept me up well into the morning just because I couldn't stop reading. Wait For You was on of those novels that no matter how tired I was I just couldn't put it down. From the first three chapters that I got from a sampler book, I knew this novel was going to be amazing. When I finished those three chapters I automatically clicked the link to buy Wait For You. That was around 10 o'clock at night, I didn't go to sleep until 3 in the morning when I had finished Wait For You.

J. Lynn creates these rounded, believable characters that I grew attached too instantly. The main character, and narrator of the story, Avery has a secret past that's not to hard to guess in the beginning chapters even though she never comes out to say it. As you read Avery's story you can help but root for her, feel for her, and want to her to have a happy ending. Her narration made me laugh and cry. You just can't help but love her while reading Wait For You.

The lead guy and supporting characters that J. Lynn created were also extremely likable. I couldn't help but love all of them especially Cam. From the second that Avery ran into him on her way to class, the humor and romance between these two was so much fun to read. Not only was Cam a great romantic lead because of the humor and romance, he also had his own past and back story that makes him believable.

Wait For You is a novel you'll become attached too. It also has a sequel coming out next year that I can't wait to get my hands on. J Lynn created characters that I can't wait to read more about. But before you go and buy this book, it is a New Adult novel, not a Young Adult novel so it doesn't cut things out as a YA novel would do. Since I've only reviewed YA novels here I wanted to make sure I put that in the review for any younger readers of my blog.
