Bookish Accessories Part 3

Bloggers talk about reading and books all the time. We are book bloggers after all, it's really all we talk about. What about all those fun accessories that you use with your books? I love to shop, and I mean LOVE. It's really somewhat of a problem but here are some book accessories that I have found and loved while shopping.

Book Page Rose Wrist Corsage/ Hair Accessory/ Necklace/ DecorationI'm not sure If I would want this Corsage for Prom, but I really like it. The paper rose is so pretty, and I really want one. Just not sure what I would do with it yet. :)

Hunger Games Bracelet---Antique Brass Mocking Jay Pendant Bracelet & Multistrand Braid and Wax Cords Chain--S004
There is a ton of Hunger Games Jewelry out there since the movie came out. Most of them you can't wear without it looking weird. This bracelet though, is a subtle pretty. It's fashionable and wearable. I know I really want it.

Can be bought HERE

Wizard Owl Hedwig District 9 3/4 (Hunger Games Mockingjay Logo) Custom Made Vinyl Decal Sticker - 3.4" x 3.5" - 28 Color OptionsI don't know if it's because I'm a huge geek, or maybe this is actually cool. But I am in LOVE with this sticker. I'm really considering buying it to put on my car or piccolo case. It's just so cute and different. It's also only $3.10.

You can buy it HERE.

Butterbeer lip butter, natural vegan gluten-free lip balm, butterscotch vanilla wizardry

I might be new to the Harry Potter fandom but this chapstick is so cute! From the reviews that I've seen on the website, I might have to try it. It's all natural and supposedly smells just like Butterbeer. I'm thinking about buying it, to review it for you guys. (or well that will be my excuse)

You can buy it yourself HERE

I'm going to go broke if I keep doing this post. I'm just addicted to looking for on etsy for this stuff. I'm sure I'll have another "bookish accessories" up next week. I hope you guys like looking at this stuff as much as I do. :)

Your Hunger Games Name

I found this at Forever Young Adult and http://mockingjay.net/

If you read the Hunger Games you know that everyone has really strange names. Well this is to help you find you Hunger Games Name.

The rules are simple! Just write down your answer for each of the questions, and then combine them in the end.

1) Write down the second syllable of your middle name.

· If you do not have a middle name – what is wrong with you? How did you know when your parents were mad at you? Anyway, you should use the second syllable of your first name.

· If your middle name is only one syllable, you may use the second syllable of your last name.

· If none of your names have more than one syllable, your parents obviously read the children’s book Tikki-Tikki-Tembo, and you may use any syllable you like from Tikki-Tikki-Tembo-No-Sa-Rembo-Chari-Bari-Ruchi-Pip-Peri-Pembo’s name.

2) Write down the name of a plant.

3) Write down the second syllable of your first name.

* If your first name is only one syllable, you may use the second syllable of your last name.

* If none of your names have more than one syllable, your parents obviously read the children’s book Tikki-Tikki-Tembo, and you may use any syllable you like from Tikki-Tikki-Tembo-No-Sa-Rembo-Chari-Bari-Ruchi-Pip-Peri-Pembo’s name.

4) Write down the first initial of the last name of your favorite English teacher from school.

5) Write down one simple action verb (i.e. “run,” “jump,” etc)

Now, get your results!!

Combine the answer from #1 with the answer from #3. That is your first name.

Your middle initial is the answer to #4.

Your last name is your answer to #5 with your answer to #2 added to the end.

It’s that simple! My name was Leyielle C. Spinlilly, what’s yours?

Hunger Games

By: Suzanne Collins
Summary: Katniss is a 16-year-old girl living with her mother and younger sister in the poorest district of Panem, the remains of what used be the United States. Long ago the districts waged war on the Capitol and were defeated. As part of the surrender terms, each district agreed to send one boy and one girl to appear in an annual televised event called, "The Hunger Games." The terrain, rules, and level of audience participation may change but one thing is constant: kill or be killed. When Kat's sister is chosen by lottery, Kat steps up to go in her place.

Review:
I can definitely say this book is different from anything else I have ever read. I don’t read many books that take place in the future. Not because I don’t like them, I just don’t come across very many. Right now Uglies by Scott Westerfeld is the only one I can think of, and I actually thought about it a bit while reading Hunger Games. In both books the government has changed the way people live, drastically and not in good ways. Also when Katniss described the people from the Capitol I couldn’t help but think about the ‘Pretties’ in Scott Westerfeld’s world and how they changed their appearances constantly. Did anyone else catch these similarities?

Of course these are two completely books and both are extremely original. Hunger Games is very refreshing to read, so many Young Adult books are center around immortals and vampires. Suzanne Collins has a great imagination. I also love her characters, Katniss is great strong-willed main female character. She doesn’t hesitate to take her little sisters place in the games, risking her life. Peeta is loveable, and charming. He's so in love with Katniss that he would do anything to keep her safe.

Hunger Games is an amazing book with loads of adventure, and romance. No matter what you prefer to read Suzanne Collins’ writing will capture you till that last page and leave you wanting more.

Now I have one question for you? Who do you like Peeta or Gale?
